How I Review Products
Most “best of” lists online are sponsored content in disguise. I do this differently:
- Research phase: I start with 30-50 candidate products per category, pulled from Amazon Best Sellers, expert reviews (Reviewed, Wirecutter, Consumer Reports), and real owner feedback on Reddit + Amazon.
- Filter phase: anything with chronic quality complaints, fake-review patterns, or thin real-world data gets cut.
- Rank phase: the top 7 get assigned roles — Best Overall, Best Budget, Best for [use case], etc.
- Verify phase: I double-check every Amazon listing is live, the ASIN is real, and the product still ships.
